As the provider hosting your organization’s Donor Management services, DonorNetwork (a ParishOnNet, Inc initiative) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you and your Organization have given us. This statement explains DonorNetwork’s policies and practices regarding our use and disclosure of your personal information.

Even though your use of the software, website, and services (“the Software”) indicates your acceptance of the DonorNetwork Privacy Policy, please review the details of this Policy carefully. Note that we review and update this Privacy Policy as needed without notice. Therefore, you should revisit the terms of this policy periodically to make sure that you are aware of any changes in the way DonorNetwork collects and uses your personal information. By using the Software, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by DonorNetwork as explained below. Please refer to Terms of Use for additional conditions.

Information Collection and Use

Your Organization is the sole owner of the information collected via the Software provided by DonorNetwork. We furnish you with the application, forms, and programs to collect and manage this information. In turn, DonorNetwork uses collected information to provide or improve the Software, and in additional ways more specifically described below.

DonorNetwork collects personally identifiable information at several points when your Organization chooses us as a service provider: when you upload this information to the Software, when you register for an account, and when you use certain DonorNetwork Software. DonorNetwork may also receive personally identifiable information about you from our business partners which include churches and dioceses that use our software for parish management.

The information DonorNetwork receives when your Organization uploads information includes but is not limited to your name, address, phone number, and email address. Once you register for an account and sign in to our services, you are no longer anonymous to us, and we receive and record information about your browser that includes IP address, cookie information and the page you requested.

Financial Transaction Information

DonorNetwork does not accept or store any credit card information or bank account information. We use a third party intermediary or payment gateway to perform any financial information collection and transaction processing. If you, as a User, perform a financial transaction with us or our intermediary, the intermediary must request information from you. This information includes but is not limited to credit card information or bank account information.

The intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain and uses the information provided for the sole purpose of processing the transaction. Your parish has entered into a direct contract with the intermediary and is responsible for all the financial transactions managed through DonorNetwork. We recommend that Users read the Privacy Policy of this intermediary, which can be obtained from your parish office.

Cookies

DonorNetwork uses “cookies”. Cookies are computer files containing limited amounts of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Generally, cookies work by assigning to your computer a unique number that has no meaning outside of the Software. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information; we use them to provide features such as personalization, and to save your user ID and password after you have entered a session so that you do not have to re-enter it repeatedly during that session. A cookie cannot read data off of your hard drive or read cookie files created by other sites. Information stored in cookies may be encrypted; however, we do not store your credit card number in cookies. While most web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can usually change your browser setting to prevent it. Keep in mind that not accepting cookies may make certain features of the Software unavailable to you.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

DonorNetwork does not sell, rent, or trade personally identifiable information about you to third parties, except as noted below. We will not disclose any collected information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

DonorNetwork may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:

We have your consent to share the information;

We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;

We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of DonorNetwork to provide a product or service to you. Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary or appropriate, in our judgment, to assist us in providing your product or service; We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes; or We find that your actions using the Software violate the DonorNetwork Terms of Use or any of our usage guidelines for specific services.

We may share aggregate demographic information with our customers, business partners, and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual or Organization.

Links

The Software may contain links to third party Sites. Even if the third party is affiliated with DonorNetwork through a business partnership or otherwise, DonorNetwork is not responsible for the privacy policies, practices or content of such external links. We encourage our Users to be aware when they leave the Software and to read the privacy statements of each and every site that collects personally identifiable information. Our Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by DonorNetwork’s Software.

Security

DonorNetwork uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect your data transmissions of financial and personally identifiable information.

Accessing and Changing Your Information

You can view and update your personal information at any time by signing in to your account on the Software and changing your profile information.

Your Organization may need to communicate at times with any and all Users, and as your service provider DonorNetwork reserves the right to facilitate these communications. Users who do not wish to be contacted should contact your Organization. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of your Organization for additional information.
